Dr. J. Peter McPartlon Wishing Space Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Make-A-Wish® Northeast New York proudly announces the grand opening of the Dr. J. Peter McPartlon Wishing Space in Downtown Saratoga Springs, New York. The unveiling ceremony, held on Sunday, January 28th, featured remarks from Mayor John Safford, Make-A-Wish® co-founder Linda Pauling, the McPartlon Family, and Make-A-Wish® Northeast New York President and CEO Jamie Hathaway.

Generously made possible by Christina, James, Michael, and Amy McPartlon, the Dr. J. Peter McPartlon Wishing Space has undergone extensive renovations which include high-tech and immersive experiences, like a 180-degree theatre that are thoughtfully designed to provide children facing critical illnesses with an inspiring place to dream up their wish. The space is named in honor of the McPartlon family patriarch, Dr. J. Peter McPartlon, a beloved figure who left an enduring mark on the community before his passing in 2020.

The McPartlon family, deeply moved by the opportunity to celebrate the legacy of their patriarch, expressed their gratitude. This Wishing Space is a tribute to his memory and a celebration of the hope that Make-A-Wish instills in the hearts of wish kids and their families."

The ceremony also featured the presence of Wish Kids and their families who are among the first to experience the Dr. J. Peter McPartlon Wishing Space. Their stories serve as a reminder of the impact that each wish has on the lives of children and their families.

The Dr. J. Peter McPartlon Wishing Space is now open to wish kids, families, and the public, inviting all to share in the magic of hope and the transformative power of wishes.
