Keira's Wish for Horseback Riding Lessons

Described as a “firecracker” with a good sense of humor, nine-year-old Keira is an old soul who is eager to learn anything and everything about horses. Last summer, Keira took riding lessons at Traildragger Stables where she rode Sampson, a horse she created a special bond with.

When it came time for Keira to make her wish, she immediately remembered the joy she experienced riding her favorite horse.

Her wish for riding lessons came true as she wrapped up three years of treatment for leukemia.

Keira’s long-overdue reunion with Sampson was special. When Keira and her family arrived by limo at the stables, she was greeted with new riding gear and the exciting news that she had nine months of riding lessons ahead of her—beginning that very day!

Soon after, Keira was riding with Sampson across a beautiful, open field. The owner of the stables flew his plane overhead as Keira waved her arms and giggled with excitement. It was a magical moment!
