Your Harvest Yields Their Wishes!

Donating a gift from your harvest is a simple and effective way for Iowa farmers to make a difference in their local communities.

The process is simple, when you take your harvested crop to your local elevator, indicate how much you would like to donate to Make-A-Wish Iowa. The dollars associated with the amount from your indicated harvest will go toward supporting children in Iowa who are waiting for their wish! You can also write a check to Make-A-Wish Iowa for the amount or defer it to our organization at the point of sale. 

For producers, gifting crops directly, rather than selling them, may provide significant tax savings. A producer will be able to deduct the production costs, reduce self-employment tax, still claim the gift for crop insurance and production records, and brighten the lives of children and families across Iowa.
