Cadyn’s mom describes his medical condition by saying, “Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system. Cadyn was diagnosed with CF when he was 3 months old and has been battling this disease every day since. He tries to slow the progression of the disease by taking various oral and inhalation medications daily.  He completes therapeutic lung treatments several times a day, and on the days that he is sick with a respiratory illness the treatments double.  We travel 2 hours to the pulmonologist at least once every 3 months for thorough lung tests, chest x-rays, blood work, and dietician and GI advice. Cadyn has had several surgeries, trips and stays at the hospital caused by the effects of Cystic Fibrosis."

When asked to describe Cadyn his mom says, “Cadyn is a sophomore in high school, and over his elementary, middle school, and high school careers he has participated in several activities.  He has tried soccer, basketball, baseball, football, archery, track, and taekwondo.  Cadyn really excelled in taekwondo and qualified for the national tournament several years in a row.  He also enjoys playing video games, working his part-time job, hanging out with his friends, and is a big fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes.”

Cadyn and his family are very appreciative and excited about the UTV. Cadyn’s mom said, “Cadyn is loving the UTV and cruising around on it every chance he gets!” He is looking forward to using it with his friends and family this spring and summer.
