Make-A-Wish^® Iowa

Ahnna from Davenport, Iowa qualified for a wish in 2021. She has a history with complex congenital heart disease and received a heart transplant in 2014. Since then, she has suffered from recurring respiratory infections and other complications.

After brainstorming wish ideas, Ahnna decided to wish for a Shopping Spree. This allowed her to get a variety of items that she really wanted. Ahnna’s dad said, “She spends a lot of time in her room, so being able to make the room more hers she would love!” She picked out a pink bed, dinosaur bedding and more to make her room extra special. One of the top things on her wish list was a new PlayStation! She was able to get a new PS4 Pro and games like Minecraft and My Universe Pet Clinic to play on her new console and TV.

Ahnna’s delivery day was made extra special because her shopping spree items all got delivered on her 7^th birthday! Her wish granter brought cupcakes and wrapped all the gifts to help celebrate. She couldn’t contain her excitement as she opened her presents, and she especially loved her Jurassic World toy!
