Eighteen-year-old Vanessa has been bravely battling cancer. She’s always loved exploring new places with her parents, but her illness and treatments have made traveling difficult.

So, when Vanessa learned that she was being granted a wish, we weren't surprised that she chose to travel. Her destination? Montreal, Canada! Excited to practice her French and eager for adventure, we were thrilled to hear that she was healthy enough for this journey.

An enthusiastic astronomy fan, Vanessa’s first stop in Quebec’s Metropolis was the Espace pour la Vie (Space for Life) Museum, where she visited the Planetarium. Under the 360° dome, she had an unforgettable experience, traveling through time and space. Next, she had an action-packed evening at a Montreal Canadiens vs. Boston Bruins hockey game!

Vanessa and her family also had a blast exploring the city, sampling local restaurants, and even visiting a Girl Scout troop in Montreal, where Vanessa, a dedicated Girl Scout herself, made plenty of new friends.

The entire trip was a dream come true, and when asked about Vanessa's favorite part, her mom simply said, “Everything. She wants to move there now!”
