“I have been an EMT for 4 years working both on an ambulance and in the emergency room. I love to travel, ride bikes, hiking, reading, and volunteering. I have 2 beautiful daughters and 2 handsome grandsons.”

Why do you love volunteering with Make-A-Wish Georgia?

“Being a volunteer has brought so much joy to my life as well as the kiddos we visit throughout the year with life threatening illnesses. Make-A-Wish Georgia isn't just an organization, they’re a family to all of us, from the staff to the volunteers to the kiddos and their families.”

What’s a memorable wish you’ve worked on?

“The most memorable wish that I had was with two 6-year-old twin girls, whose wish was to go to Disney World. We had a surprise wish celebration in the basement of their church with the whole congregation in attendance. These twin girls were so surprised they began to cry, thanking me with the biggest hug in the world.”

If you were getting a wish, what would your wish be?

“If I could wish for anything it would be a for a puppy as I lost my puppy a few years ago.”
