ALOHA!!! Sophia is twelve years old, living with Cystic Fibrosis, and from the Knoxville area. Sophia was just recently granted a wish to visit Oahu in Hawaii where she had the best week of her life! Sophia chose Hawaii as her wish because she’s never been before and wanted to be able to say that she visited an island. Some activities Sophia and her family did while in Hawaii were a dolphin encounter and a sunset and fireworks cruise. Sophia was a little nervous about the food and culture in Hawaii, but she was brave and tried all different foods – she ventured out and ended up liking more than she thought she was going to! Sophia started each day on her wish trip with an acai bowl to give herself a lot of energy to enjoy her activities, explore the island, and hangout with her family.  Sophia’s favorite part of her Make-A-Wish experience was swimming with a dolphin. She also loved seeing sea turtles swim next to her in the ocean.

Three words to describe Sophia are smart, goofy, and kind. She is most happy when she is hanging out with her friends and watching Gilmore Girls together. Some of Sophia’s favorite things are iced coffee, shopping, and reading. Her favorite color combination is light pink and navy blue.

Wish mom said, “I wanted to thank you for everything you did to make Sophia's wish possible. We had a great time and made memories to last a lifetime. It was beautiful and the weather was perfect. Thank you again to everyone at Make-A-Wish East Tennessee. We will never forget this trip.”
