Meet Brooklyn! She lives in Harrison, is 9 years old, and is overcoming her battle with Leukemia. Brooklyn chose to go to the San Diego Zoo as her wish because she found out she was diagnosed with Leukemia while she was at a zoo, and she wanted to be at a zoo again when she finished treatment – a circle of life moment! Brooklyn has a love for flamingos and wanted an experience where she could have a behind the scenes animal encounter. The San Diego Zoo was able to provide Brooklyn with a memorable Make-A-Wish experience to meet and feed flamingos. While also in San Diego, Brooklyn was able to visit LEGOLAND with a 2-day admission for the theme park, SEA LIFE Aquarium, and the waterpark. Brooklyn and her family were also surprised with a sunset cruise on a boat with a hot tub 😊 Brooklyn and her family enjoyed the great food in San Diego, too!

When Brooklyn is not busy with school and follow up doctor appointments, she enjoys hanging out with her little brother, playing softball, and doing arts and crafts. She also loves eating at Chick-Fil-A, listening to TobyMac, and play Mario Kart. Brooklyn’s favorite subject in school is grammar and her favorite game is Uno.
