Layah's wish to have a playset

Playing outside and having a minor playground accident led to her cancer diagnosis. After trying several rounds of various treatment types, her cancer was not responding and Layah’s mom made the difficult decision to stop treatment. 

Always the energetic child, Layah chose to have a playset in her backyard! Layah’s favorite thing is to be outside playing with her sister and cousins. Having her very own playset allows for endless playtime right at home! 

To celebrate Layah’s wish, her volunteers organized a wish delivery parade complete with local fire fighters and police officers leading the way! Local media were there as well to capture the excitement. 

Layah and her family were thrilled to have her playset completed so now she can play outside all day long. 

Layah’s mom says, “It’s taught me that there are people out there that will do anything for you to make sure that you and your family are happy no matter what the circumstances are.  It makes me want to be able to reach out and help others; it’s been a tough year, and this is just a light at the end of the tunnel.”
