Cole is an avid surfer who enjoys being in the ocean, riding the local waves, and watching dolphins and other marine life. His world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with leukemia in October of 2023. Childhood illnesses are disruptive and life-changing, but Cole remained positive, courageous, and strong. In the hospital, he would dream of swimming with turtles and dolphins, and this would be the encouragement he needed to keep fighting through the many treatments and procedures he endured to fight this cancer.

When Cole met with his wish-granting volunteers, he knew immediately what his wish would be—he wished to go to Kauai to swim with dolphins in warm Hawaiian waters and enjoy many adventures with his family. Waiting for his wish to come true has inspired him to continue to battle his condition. He’s looking forward to sharing this special experience and a beautiful Hawaiian sunset with his family as a celebration of his journey.

Our goal is to reach $10,000.

Since 1985, Make-A-Wish Central Coast and Southern Central Valley has been creating life-changing wishes for local children with critical illnesses. Over the years, more than 2,400 wishes have been granted, bringing hope and strength to countless members of our community.
