Hudson's Wish

In August 2018, Hudson was born with end stage renal disease, and by the age of one had already experienced several surgeries, the first of which was at only one week old. Just before his second birthday, he received his first kidney transplant from a living donor. This surgery saved Hudson’s life. However, he will require additional kidney transplants in his lifetime, as the organ does not last as long as Hudson will need it to.

Hudson’s wish was granted with a trip to San Diego where he was greeted with his very own flight uniform, including mirrored aviator sunglasses, sparking complete joy for this active boy. Hudson and his family received a personal tour of the USS Midway from US veteran Chappie, where Hudson learned first-hand about being a pilot and operating all the controls of an airplane. He and his family were also able to tour the Air & Space Museum and finish their adventure with a trip to Legoland.
