Make-A-Wish volunteers consider their work impactful and meaningful. And, their efforts are rewarded—not in dollars or cents, but in the incredible difference they make in the lives of our wish kids. Volunteers even have the freedom to choose when and how they would like to help transform lives in our communities within our chapter.

EVENT VOLUNTEER
Fulfill various roles at special events throughout the year, from being a friendly face greeting others to running tasks behind the scenes.
OFFICE VOLUNTEER
Assist with various projects at our chapter offices, including phone calls, mailings and research.
SPECIAL PROJECT VOLUNTEER
Bring your professional skills on an as-needed basis to provide essential skills like graphic design, photography and more.

Your Make-A-Wish Journey Starts Today
At every level of the organization, volunteers are critical to the mission. Get started today and soon you can bring hope and joy to local children with critical illnesses as a Make-A-Wish volunteer.
Attend a volunteer orientation: Sit in on a virtual webinar and learn about our mission to grant wishes for children with critical illnesses and how you can help. Visit our calendar page to register for upcoming dates.
Fill out application: Once you attend a webinar, you will receive a link via DocuSign to complete your Volunteer Application.
Complete background check: Specific roles will require a background check. This will be initiated by a Make-A-Wish Staff after you have submitted your Volunteer Application. We typically ask volunteers to cover the cost of their background check ($27.63) as a donation, if you need assistance with this cost please let Make-A-Wish Staff know.
Complete role-specific training: Depending on which volunteer role you are interested in, there may be a required training. You will receive the dates for these trainings upon completion of the Volunteer Orientation.
