Greg Mudge Volunteer

Greg & Marlene

Every visit leaves me filled with a special joy that my wish kids can only provide. They have taught me where my focus should be.
Greg

Greg has been involved with Make-A-Wish for over six years and is very active in our Central California and Bakersfield region.

Greg and his wife Marlene (pictured above) both serve as Wish Granters and volunteer their time at our events. Their daughter introduced them to wish granting after she became a volunteer at the Make-A-Wish Oregon chapter.

Watching the joy that she was able to share with her wish kids hooked me.
Greg

After seeing a presentation at his local Kiwanis Club, Greg immediately signed up! Marlene would begin volunteering soon thereafter.

I tell people that being a Make-A-Wish volunteer is the most selfish thing I do. I get to meet children that are fighting illnesses that I can’t pronounce or even imagine.
Greg

When asked about what his most heartfelt wish would be, Greg says that he is already living his wish; Having been married for 30 years to Marlene and sharing three wonderful children, he couldn't wish for anything more.

Fun fact: Greg and Marlene's kids are named Pam, Tom and Sam and each of their initials spells each of their children's first names!

In his spare time, Greg enjoys cycling. In fact, he rides on average 18 to 25 miles per day!

Thank you to both Greg and Marlene for going the extra mile for our wish kids!
