Watch the story of Fernie's wish

Fernando Jr. was a healthy young boy who loved playing sports until the summer of 2016 when his family learned he had leukemia. It was an extremely difficult time for their entire family to see so many changes occur in Fernando, but he always maintained a positive attitude throughout his journey.

After taking part in a research study for treatment and trying multiple medications and rounds of chemotherapy, Fernando achieved remission.

An avid athlete, especially in the sport of baseball, Fernando determined his wish would be to have a batting cage in his own backyard. Having his very own batting cage would allow him to practice hitting and pitching so that he can perfect his craft through hard work and perseverance. His love of sports and versatile talent will continue to elevate, providing him confidence and joy for his future.

Fernando’s batting cage validates that a wish isn’t just a nice thing to have, often a wish provides a child the opportunity to pursue their passions and find their purpose.
