There are few experiences more powerful than making a wish, like Dean’s, come true. Dean’s battle with congenital heart disease began before he was born. Diagnosed prenatally, a delicate pregnancy followed with many hospitalizations and the need for continuous monitoring. Despite all of that, Dean’s playful spirit has endured. A happy and energetic young boy, his imagination has brought him comfort through the challenges, as well as his love for dinosaurs.

When presented with the opportunity to have a wish come true, Dean wished to have a dinosaur-themed room makeover. When describing his room makeover, he hoped for a loft-style bed and couch, dinosaur graphics to spruce up his space, and most importantly, some shelving to display all his dinosaurs!

The day of Dean’s wish reveal was nothing short of magical.

Many helping hands came together, including some local Amazon wish granter volunteers that assemble Dean's room.

And thus, it was TOGETHER – with many helping hands and the assistance of a mischievous velociraptor – we brought Dean’s wish to life with a Jurassic reveal at Waffles & Wishes in Reno!

When Dean opened the door to his new room, he also opened the door to a new chapter of his childhood – one filled with hope, strength, and joy for years to come.
