Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

Delbert on his new Quad
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Thanks to Northern Counties Roofing Systems with support from Redding Yamaha Sea Doo & Marine, a local young man battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma had his wish granted for a Quad!

REDDING, CA Delbert, 19 had his wish for a new Quad granted in late December thanks to his Adopt-A-Wish sponsor Northern Counties Roofing Systems with generous support from Redding Yamaha Sea Doo & Marine. The Red Bluff resident had come home from college in Wyoming to his new Quad parked on his driveway. Last July, in a parade coordinated by Northern Counties Roofing Systems, it was revealed to Delbert that his wish for a Quad was being granted soon. His surprise ultimately arrived on December 23 when he returned home from college for the holidays. He plans to return to college in Wyoming with his Quad, which he will use for his main mode of transportation (legal in Wyoming) and just for fun.

Background:

In October 2019, Delbert was experiencing cold-like symptoms, so his pediatrician gave him antibiotics to try to get rid of it. When those did not work, he went through a battery of tests where eventually a mass was discovered around his lungs and he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He endured rounds of both chemo and radiation and completed his treatment in time to leave for college last September.
