Roandy Loves Minions Mayhem

Seven-year-old Roandy has struggled with issues related to epilepsy and autism his whole life.

Growing up, Roandy didn’t really show much interest in many things – until he saw the minions. It was the first time his mother truly saw his face light up. She said, ““His attention is not there, but for the Minions, yes! He is obsessed! He will laugh along with them and for a moment he is understanding and focusing on something.”

There was no more perfect wish for Roandy than to have a Minions-themed bedroom makeover. Because of Covid-19, he basically spends all his time at home. This wish gave him his own space where he would be super happy indoors.

Alena Capra Designs stepped in to turn his dream room into reality with a royal blue and yellow world of Minions. With features like all new furniture including a day bed, desk and dresser, Roandy has everything he needs. With a giant color-changing light bulb lamp and friendly Minions to make him smile all over the room, he has everything he wants! He will relax on his bed with his iPad, attend online classes at his new desk and look forward to sharing some Minions mayhem with his friends when the pandemic is over.

It’s like a dream come true. This is his little world. He’s very happy. This means the world to us. Thank you, because this wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.

Alena Capra said, “Being part of this special wish for Roandy was such a wonderful experience for me and my team. The Minions theme is so cheerful, and allowed us to create a fun, colorful, and safe space that he can enjoy. As an interior designer one of my favorite things is to bring happiness to people through design...and when designing for a Make-A-Wish room makeover, we are also helping make a special wish come true!”
