Your time and unique talents are critical to bringing strength and hope to wish kids when they need it the most. In fact, our volunteers are at the heart of every wish experience.

Make-A-Wish volunteers consider their work impactful and meaningful. And, their efforts are rewarded—not in dollars or cents, but in the incredible difference, they make in the lives of our wish kids. Volunteers even have the freedom to choose when and how they would like to help transform lives in our community.

Join us for this virtual training session to learn all about the first aspect wish granting -- the wish discovery visit -- on Thursday, October 27, 2022.

This training will teach you how to uncover the child's wish ideas and how to complete the necessary paperwork for this role. Each wish is a short time commitment - usually 1-3 meetings with the wish child and family that last 30 minutes to one hour each. Please share this event with anyone who is interested in learning more about being a wish granter with Make-A-Wish Oklahoma (must be 18 or older)!

Wish granting volunteers work directly with children and their families to determine the child's heartfelt wish and plan enhancements throughout the wish process. Wish granters work in pairs alongside Make-A-Wish staff to ensure every eligible child's wish comes true.
