A Disney dream come true once the doctors gave us a thumbs up.
My daughter wished for a Disney Cruise. We have four kids total so this is something we never would have been able to do for her. We have all been affected by Auriana's diagnosis. Her older siblings have had to watch while their baby sister has been put through more than even an adult should ever go through. We as parents had to be away from her sibling to spend many nights in ER and the hospital. Her siblings could no longer participate in the activities they once did.
However, there was one thing we all could look forward to now: a Disney wish come true, once the doctors gave us a thumbs up. We talked about it often, visualized how amazing it would be. And just as we visualized, it was a dream come true.
We had nothing to worry about; everything was handled by Make a Wish New Mexico. Her father and I dedicated our time and energy on making her and our other children have the best time of their life. We spent time together as a family, laughing and smiling, and that was the best part!
