The 2013 Chi Omega Christmas Market marks 36 years of giving by bringing a unique holiday shopping experience to Dallas’ Fair Park! Continuing the spirited tradition, the Chi Omega Christmas Market has selected Make-A-Wish® North Texas as one of the 2013 beneficiaries.

The Chi Omega Christmas Market offers a unique one-of-a-kind shopping experience with over 175 merchants showcasing gifts for every age including holiday décor, women’s clothing and accessories, home accents, children’s clothing and toys, food gifts, and much more! In its 35 year history, Chi Omega Christmas Market has distributed more than 6 million dollars to the Dallas community through grants to local charities and collegiate scholarships.

History of the Chi Omega Christmas Market
The first Chi Omega Christmas Market was held in November 1978. Dallas Chi Omega Alumnae spent 2 years planning to get the first show off the ground. It was held in the Ballroom of the Dallas Convention Center where there were 49 booths and 14 double booths. One of the original Market Chairmen said, “Getting merchants for the first year was so hard! It took a real team of girls to sell them on the idea.” The Market now has an extensive application process and a long merchant waiting list, so we are able to bring you over 175 of the best merchants around! One of our long time merchants recently wrote, “From a seasoned retailer’s point of view, Chi Omega Christmas Market is THE premier holiday market in North Texas.” That first year was a tremendous success raising $35,000 for the Dallas community. The event has grown so much over its history that we now consistently raise over $250,000 year after year for worthy Dallas organizations.
