A local group is hosting “Jebner’s Wish Golf Tournament” in memory of their dear friend, Jeremy Ebner, who recently passed away after fighting leukemia for a year and a half. During Jeremy’s time in the hospital, he talked a lot about what he was going to do once he finished treatment. Of all his ideas, he seemed most passionate about one in particular - to host a fundraiser for children who are also battling life-threatening medical conditions. He knew how hard it was to fight leukemia and couldn't imagine how difficult it must be for a child to go through what he was experiencing. Since he was a huge golf fan, he wanted to create a golf fundraiser that benefitted Make-A-Wish.
To honor Jeremy’s idea, a group of his friends joined together to host the first annual golf tournament on October 14, 2013, at the Oregon Golf Club in West Linn. Their goal is to raise $5,000 to grant the wish of one local child. Read more about Jeremy’s story, and learn more about how to attend or donate at their website here:
