Calling all superheroes, big and small! Join us May 2-3 in downtown Biloxi and help grant wishes for children in Mississippi battling life-threatening medical conditions.
On Friday, May 2nd, be sure and attend the first ever Be A Hero Block Party at Adventures in Biloxi. From 5:30-7:30 p.m. celebrate with some true heroes: wish kids, firefighters, police officers, and other local heroes! During the Be A Hero Block Party, several area restaurants will be offering special events. Be A Hero 5k runners will check in at Adventures to receive their t-shirts and race day information.
Saturday, May 3rd, marks the date for the Be A Hero 5K. Get ready to run/walk a USTA timed 5K course through downtown Biloxi, beginning at the Biloxi City Hall Lawn. Superhero costumes are encouraged but not required! Children 12 and under will race in their costumes through a one mile fun run course. Registration is from 8-9 a.m. One Mile Fun Run for children 12 and under begins at 9 a.m. with the 5K taking off at 9:15 a.m. Runners compete to win prizes for best adult and youth costume as well as top fundraisers. At the end of the race, entertainment and food vendors await runners at the Biloxi City Hall lawn.
All proceeds from the race benefit Make-A-Wish Mississippi. Make-A-Wish Mississippi grants wishes to children in Mississippi facing life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
