Walk For Wishes

Join us for the 23rd Annual Medical Mutual® Walk For Wishes in Cleveland to help raise funds for Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

Help make wishes come true and spread hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions through this powerful fundraising event.

On Saturday, July 18, 2015 more than 2,100 walkers, sponsors and volunteers will come together at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. There are currently more than 800 Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana children waiting for their wish to come true. To help grant these wishes, Walk For Wishes hopes to raise more than $180,000 in 2015.

Cleveland Walk For Wishes

Recruit a team or walk as an individual, and join wish families, corporations and community groups for a magical day of helping make wishes come true.

Participants will enjoy a family-friendly 1- or 3-mile walk followed by a Finish Line Celebration with music, food and fun. Walkers will also have the opportunity to meet wish families and experience the power of a wish come true.

Meet the Honorary Wish Kid

Wish Kid Eddie

Eddie is an imaginative three-year-old who loves to play games and watch movies with some of his favorite characters, especially Mickey Mouse and Lightning McQueen. Battling retinal cancer, Eddie’s one true wish was to meet his favorite Disney characters in person at Walt Disney World® Resort.

The October 2014 trip was packed with adventure for Eddie and his family, including high-fiving Mickey Mouse, feeding a dolphin at SeaWorld, going on rides and getting a photo with Lightning McQueen and Mader. “Eddie is a huge “Cars” fan and seeing him stand with these guys just melted our hearts,” shared Eddie’s mom, Katie. Months after Eddie’s wish trip, thinking back on the experience still fills him with hope and joy. “He loved every minute,” Katie said. “What I love is that these memories are his forever.”
