Q: Why did you choose this wish?

A: I thought horses were great from the time I was a young girl. I was really excited when I began taking horseback riding lessons, just before I was diagnosed with leukemia. When I had the opportunity to wish for anything, a horse of my own was the first thing that came to mind.

Q: What was one of your favorite memories from the wish?

A: There are way too many to count! I was so overwhelmed when Adamo was presented to me, it took me a few minutes and explanation from my mother for me to understand that he was mine! Every time I ride there is a new memory to add.

Q: What's your medical diagnosis now?

A: I have been in remission for four years.

Q: What are some of the highlights of your life now?

A: I am currently in eighth Grade at Los Osos Middle School. I love to play soccer and hang out with my friends.

Q: What did your wish mean to you?

A: I honestly don’t know what I would be doing after school if I didn’t have a horse. When I'm not playing soccer, my afternoons and weekend days are spent at the ranch near the beach where my horse is boarded. That’s how much having Adamo has impacted my life.

Q: What do you want to tell people about the Make-A-Wish Foundation?

A: I would like to tell people, that one of the greatest things you can do for a child is to grant a wish when their life seems to have so little happiness. The Make-A-Wish Foundation makes this possible!
