“ I wished to be in the middle of the ocean on a cruise for the 4th of July ”
Q: Why did you choose this wish?
A: I had never been in the middle of the ocean or the Caribbean, and I wanted to experience it on my favorite holiday, 4th of July.
Q: What was one of your favorite memories from the wish?
My favorite moment was winning the Karaoke Challenge and being named Karaoke King!
Q: What's your medical diagnosis now?
A: I have been DONE with cancer for close to 10 years. In 2003, five years after being diagnosed, I was officially out of the woods.
Q: What are some of the highlights of your life now?
A: Being able to graduate with my high school class of 2000, going on to college and attaining my degree in psychology and minor in Spanish. I am also the volunteer coordinator for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley!
Q: What did your wish mean to you?
A: It gave me something to look forward to and live for. It has shaped my outlook on life and helped build my character.
Q: What do you want to tell people about the Make-A-Wish Foundation?
A: Once you’ve been touched by the power of a wish, it will live on in you forever.
