Darrien’s Wish to be a Police Officer

Seven-year-old Darrien told the Make-A-Wish Foundation he wanted to be a police officer so he could “get all of the bad guys off the street.” With some help from officers at the Smyrna (Ga.) Police Department, Officer Darrien joined the ranks of the city’s finest. All photos courtesy of Jessica Lily Horwitz of Jessica Horwitz Photography.

Beetle Boy PSA Behind-the-Scenes Scrapbook

The Beetle Boy PSA recreates the story of “Beetle Boy,” based on the wish of Michael, a 6-year-old boy who became a superhero for the day. Included in the wonderful photographs of the Beetle Boy PSA production is the meeting between the real Beetle Boy, Michael (now age 13), and his TV commercial counterpart and the reunion of Michael with his real-life wish villain and PSA star, Make-A-Wish® volunteer, Stewart Snodgrass.
