His adorable face and endearing smile lights up any room he is in. His interests include basketball, eating pizza, and playing with trucks. Who is this courageous and dynamic Make-A-Wish® child? His name is Isaiah, and as the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-South's 20th birthday wish child, he wished to have his very own computer.
Isaiah's dad is a truck driver, and the youngster has always had a fascination with the big rigs. To enhance Isaiah's experience, his wish granters decided to put together a computer presentation party unlike anything Isaiah could have ever expected.
Isaiah's celebration was held at the GM plant located in Southaven, Miss. Make-A-Wish families, sponsors, volunteers and other supporters were in attendance at the party to celebrate this historic milestone with Isaiah and his family.
In an especially wonderful moment, Isaiah and his dad led a convoy of semi-trucks and pickups to the plant. Awaiting them was a grand celebration featuring games, rides and food honoring the precious little boy.
When his brand new computer was unveiled, Isaiah was ecstatic. To make the event even more special, Isaiah's grandparents – whom he had not seen in two years – made the trip to Southaven for Isaiah's special day. A Make-A-Wish volunteer asked Isaiah to call out his grandparent's names, and voila, they appeared out of the crowd! His computer featured all of the latest software and even included a steering wheel to use for his new computer racing games.
On this unforgettable day, volunteers, sponsors, truck drivers, fellow Make-A-Wish families and a very special little boy enjoyed the power of the Make-A-Wish experience.
