Six-year-old Alex had quite a dilemma. She couldn't decide between redecorating her bedroom or going to Disneyland® for her wish. After a great deal of thought, she finally decided that she wanted to see Disneyland and meet her favorite character, Mickey Mouse.
In California, Alex and her family spent two fun-filled days at the Magic Kingdom® . Alex's trip to Disneyland started off with a private meeting with no other than Mickey Mouse himself. She had her picture taken with him numerous times and even got him to sign her autograph book.
After going on all of the rides – some more than once – and watching the parade, both during the day and at night, Alex and her brother and sisters went shopping. They bought Disney backpacks, dolls, gloves, hats, diaries, mugs, shirts - you name it, they bought it.
When the family returned home, Alex's wish granting volunteers were at the airport to greet them. As the passengers came off the plane, the wish granters noticed a young boy wearing a gigantic blue sorcerer's hat complete with mouse ears, coming towards them grinning from ear to ear. He shouted "I didn't want to come back - none of us did!" Soon, Alex and her mom and sisters came down the corridor with the same smiles. The only one missing was Dad. But soon, he too came off the plane with his arms overflowing with souvenirs. He had bags hanging off both arms and his hands were loaded.
Alex and her family couldn't stop grinning. Every time one of the wish granters asked, "How was the...," the answer was "GREAT!"
Before leaving the airport, Alex presented her wish granters with some very special thank-you gifts – bright pink Tinkerbell nightshirts that said, "Believe in the Magic."
It just goes to prove that when it all comes down to it, all you really need to do is BELIEVE and wishes really do come true!
