At just eight years of age, San Bernardino resident Hennessey is living with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but that hasn’t stopped her love for her family or for animals. When asked what her heartfelt wish would be, Hennessy wished to have a cockatoo. On July 31, her wish was granted! Hennessy and Yum Yum are inseparable, and Hennessy has even taught Yum Yum to say a few words

After growing up with a cockatoo, Hennessy could not wait to have another one. Yum Yum sat on Hennessy's shoulder when they first met and immediately started dancing. The smile says it all! (check out the photo below). Hennessy absolutely love birds so it was no surprise when she wished for one! She plans to teach it how to talk and is ready to take the responsibility of feeding it everyday.
