The giggling could be heard from an unseen Zavie, growing louder as he wound his way, and gained speed, down the corkscrew tubular slide.
Finally, he emerged, smiling and talking and still giggling as he hit the ground. The only word you could make out from what he was saying: Again.
There was a lot of smiling and giggling from the 3-year-old Make-A-Wish Northeast New York wish kid this perfect autumn afternoon as he explored his wish: An intricate backyard playset. Joining him in the joy were family members, including his twin 2-year-old sisters, Autumn and Meadow.
“This is really incredible,” wish mom Amanda said, pushing Zavie and Autumn on swing seats as Meadow played nearby and dad Glen and grandparents looked on. “It’s more than I could have hoped for.”
Zavie, between his running and giggling and swinging, paused long enough to say, “Thank you, Make-A-Wish.” Watching the joy on the faces of him and his family, it’s easy to say it was our pleasure.
Christine Hyatt and Pam Moore served as the wish granters. Special thanks to Swing Kingdom, Garden Time and Caked With Love By Steph for making Zavie’s wish so memorable.
