"Firehouse" :60 (Jonalya's Wish) Transcript

When little 7 year old Jonalya told the Make-A-Wish foundation that she wished to be a firefighter, an entire engine company came to the rescue.

“Why do you want to be a firefighter?” she was asked. “Because I want to save lives.”

On the big day, Jonalya reported for duty and changed into a custom made uniform with her name in big letters. Tucked her curls under her little pink helmet…and toured the firehouse.

Suddenly, the station alarm sounded and the entire crew scrambled for the trucks. Jonalya was ready. They raced to a smoky house where the brave girl in the pink helmet climbed a 100 foot ladder to rescue a stuffed dalmation.

Jonalya saved a life and got her wish.
