Avis Employees Celebrate Erica's Wish

Most people know that Avis Rent A Car System, Inc. rents cars. But did you know Avis also provides smiles to wish kids? Thanks to Avis’ dedicated team, that’s exactly what it did for 9-year-old Erica, who wished to visit the Walt Disney World^® Resort. Erica would enjoy the family vacation of a lifetime, but before she left, Avis employees had some surprises in store for her.

Erica’s adventure began when Avis sent a limo to Erica’s school to retrieve her, and hosted the young girl, several family members and 17 classmates for a Wizard of Oz send-off party at the Avis Reservations Center in Tulsa, OK. As Erica exited her limo, she was greeted by Glinda the Good Witch, who reminded her to follow the yellow-brick road and presented her with a charm bracelet. Along the way, Erica met other costumed characters from her favorite book, including the scarecrow, who gave her a star charm for her bracelet; the tin man, who gave her a heart charm; and the cowardly lion, who gave her a crown charm.

The group walked to a special room, where Avis employees and well-wishers had assembled for a surprise party. There, Erica was showered with more gifts, a cake, an official declaration of her wish being granted, Disney-themed merchandise, and two pairs of ruby red slippers.

The party was like a dream for Erica, and as her limo carried her home she was filled with enthusiasm for her upcoming wish trip
