World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) is an integrated media and entertainment company founded by Vince and Linda McMahon. WWE has been involved in the sports entertainment business for 25 years and has developed professional wrestling into one of the most popular forms of global entertainment today.
For more than 20 years, WWE has worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant the heartfelt wishes of children who wish to attend a WWE event or meet WWE Superstars. In 2008, WWE strengthened its already deep commitment to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, entering into a multi-year agreement at the Cause Champion level. To celebrate the partnership, WWE invited 50 wish kids from 50 states to Wrestlemania XXIV in Orlando, Fla. in March 2008.
