The gift of music is shared among many members of Pedro's family. Not only is his dad a singer, but his cousin used to play with a band called Corazones del Norte.

A native of Hobbs, New Mexico, Pedro has always been a music buff, enjoying nearly every genre of music. His favorite groups include Metallica and Los Norteñitos de Ojinaga. As his wish experience, Pedro wanted to start his own band — realizing a lifelong dream. Pedro has always desired to lead a Spanish Christian band with his brother Julian, along with his friends Joe and Juan.

Pedro's family and closest friends — along with Make-A-Wish® volunteers — joined him for a reception at the Fletcher Center in Hobbs to celebrate his wish come true. The climax of the event was the grand unveiling of a set of musical equipment for Pedro's band, which included a PA system, bass guitar, amplifiers, microphones, a drum set, cymbals, and a mixer. Pedro's parents were quite thankful for the set of earplugs they received.

There was one major component to making Pedro's wish complete. He needed to learn how to play the guitar. In addition to all of his new instruments, Pedro will receive complementary guitar lessons each week. He's even interested in learning how to play the accordion.

Pedro, his family, and friends were overjoyed by the wish experience, and everyone is eagerly anticipating the debut of Pedro's band at his church.
