After long consideration of her most heartfelt wish, Hannah, a fashionable 15-year-old from Indiana, chose to meet her favorite handbag designer, Kate Spade. Kate had never entertained a wish child, so when she learned of Hanna's request, she immediately contacted the Make-A-Wish Foundation^® to grant the wish of her most admiring fan.

Hannah's meeting with Kate was revealed to her and all of central Indiana during the WZPL-FM Make-A-Wish^® Request-A-Thon. Hannah was speechless when she learned she would be traveling with her family to New York City to spend a day with Kate at her studio.

Upon arriving in New York, Hannah caught a view of the city from the observation deck of the Empire State Building, took in a Broadway production of "Beauty and the Beast," and was a member of the "LIVE with Regis and Kelly" audience. Even with all of these exciting experiences during her trip, Hanna knew nothing could top wish day.

Hannah began her dream-come-true with a Kate Spade design meeting, where she shared her suggestions on new summer and fall designs soon to be available in stores. Next was a trip to the Kate Spade New York retail shop, where Hannah was given a new autographed handbag and was able to select another of her favorites as a souvenir. Hannah completed the wish, so she thought, with Kate's company over lunch.

As with all magical wishes, surprises are always in store. Hannah's day actually ended in even more amazement when Kate and her husband unexpectedly joined Hannah's family for dinner at Tavern on the Green.

"My wish exceeded all of my expectations," exclaimed Hanna. "The highlight was spending time with Kate Spade and her staff. They were all more than gracious and absolutely wonderful!"
