This position is responsible for tracking and reporting programs, preparing monthly financial statements, as well as reconciling and analyzing various accounts. The individual will monitor corporate contracts, ensure appropriate coding and reporting of revenue streams, oversee monthly investment activity reconciliations, monitor performance to budget, track in-kind program donations, and evaluate time and use studies. In addition, the candidate will serve as a key staff person in audit and annual budget processes, oversee statutory filings, and provide special reporting and support as needed.
The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, CPA preferred, along with 5 years experience. Management experience, as well as experience in a nonprofit environment desired. Thorough knowledge of financial accounting, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), internal and management control systems, accounting and information systems applications, and audit planning are also required. In addition, strong analytical capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information, and handle multiple projects on deadline are a necessity.
