Senior Manager, Mission Resources. This position manages mission delivery initiatives for the Foundation and its chapters, ensures consistency in wish-granting procedures among chapters, and works with advisory committees on addressing mission-delivery policies for the Foundation. This individual is responsible for critical issues related to medical eligibility, medical outreach and volunteer development; and provides support and training to chapter program staff. The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, including four years experience in non-profit or public agency management, preferably with experience working with the medical community. Demonstrated ability in clear and effective communication, conflict-management and problem-solving skills, as well as exceptional training skills required. In addition, strong relationship building and customer service skills, proficiency in MS Office applications, the ability to travel for job-related functions and to telework from a home office are necessary. This position may be based anywhere in the U.S.

This position is responsible for tracking and reporting programs, preparing monthly financial statements, as well as reconciling and analyzing various accounts. The individual will monitor corporate contracts, ensure appropriate coding and reporting of revenue streams, oversee monthly investment activity reconciliations, monitor performance to budget, track in-kind program donations, and evaluate time and use studies. In addition, the candidate will serve as a key staff person in audit and annual budget processes, oversee statutory filings, and provide special reporting and support as needed.
The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, CPA preferred, along with 5 years experience. The individual is the primary administrator of the telephone system, liaison to building management, office maintenance and cleaning, national telephone and equipment contracts, and manages the operations/mail center functions. This position manages the internal operations of the office of planned giving, including the administration of bequest expectancies, the gift annuity program, the marketing program, and project management. The individual participates in the planning and implementation of programs and practices which cultivate, solicit and steward prospective and existing donors with an emphasis on developing planned and outright gifts that require financial and estate planning expertise. The candidate supports the work of the Professional Advisors Council and all work being done with professional advisors. In addition, the individual tracks and manages information and strategies pertaining to all aspects of planned giving.
The position requires an undergraduate degree; an advanced degree is preferable. Experience in planned giving, a general understanding of tax and other aspects of all planned giving vehicles, and the ability to develop and execute fundraising strategies needed.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, discretion with confidential materials, and ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented team environment are necessary.
Proficiency in various computer programs including spreadsheets and database software required; Raiser’s Edge experience is a plus.
