Inspired Thoughts

Being a longtime supporter of Make-A-Wish and a native of Indianapolis, I appreciate your story. Kudos to you for having your wish fulfilled, and all the best for a life filled with hope, strength, and joy.

This is such a great story! The wish granters are so creative. So are you Shelby! I love that you use your talent and something you love to do to fundraising to help others.

Your story was very moving to me. I was diagnosed with brain cancer between my junior and senior year, and I know how it stinks putting things in your life on hold because of the treatments and for just being sick. Your trip was probably one of the best experiences in your life; mine sure was. I...

I think your wish was great. After suffering through what you’re going through, who wouldn’t want to go to the island named after him? I would.

I'm so glad that you and your family where able to have such a wonderful trip. May God bless you and your family. Hugs from another Wish kid’s mom.

Hey, what’s up, Anthony? I wish to go to Hawaii, but I don't want to go by myself. I mean, I got the money and everything, it’s just I don't want to go by myself. Maybe I'll find someone to go with me.

Hi, this is Shannon. Garrett's little sister, Laurel, is my best friend. I am happy for Garrett that his treatments are over. I hope that everyone will fight cancer as well as Garrett did.

I cannot imagine the hardships placed upon Garrett and his family dealing with his medical condition. But seeing the smile on his face helps me understand how hope, strength, and joy are provided by the great group of people at Make-A-Wish! All the best to Garrett, his family, and Make-A-Wish.
