Sheena, 16, wanted to model in a runway fashion show. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-South brought out all the bells and whistles to ensure that this young lady, who is battling a life threatening medical condition, would experience her dreams with bombast and in vibrant color.

Sheena walked the runway in Los Angeles during Fashion Week at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood with poise and elegance. But before this wish became reality, she spent time with the designers behind the fashions. She was shy at first, but after her fitting and runway tutorial she relaxed and enjoyed soaking up the influence of Brad Batory, founder of Indashio.

“Brad was fun, energetic, crazy! I liked him a lot!” Sheena exclaimed.

She was an eager student and loved taking in the scene at the Sydney Evans suite of the Some Young Designer Collection while hanging out with the Indashio friends and family. Soon her time to shine would arrive.

Sheena arrived at 11:30 a.m. for make-up and hair. She wore a hot-pink knee length fitted pant and bubblegum pink tank with Indashio splashed across the front. Now for the real glitz, Sheena wore a pair of four-inch electric pink knee-length boots with silver buckles.

As she stepped out on the runway, she showed her sophistication and daring. Sheena was a professional model, and she definitely wowed the crowd!

"My most memorable moment was seeing her face right after she got off the runway," Brad said.

He gave her a choice of any of his designs, plus a specially made T-shirt with Indashio emblazoned across the front, the beautiful electric pink boots and a pair dressy black stilettos.

“I think Sheena actually had more of an impact on me than I did on her. The gift of giving, helping people is a high I'm addicted to, and it is something I will continue to do for as long as God lets me,” Brad said.

After the show, a modeling agency complimented her debut and shared interest in signing her for a one-year contract. Sheena was very thankful as was her family that Sheena's wish was granted with such care and concern.

Jelessy Jeans then invited her to model at a private Hollywood party with the rich and famous crowd. Sheena sported a fabulously stylin' yellow and white baseball cap to contrast with her purple outfit while she walked around for three hours taking pictures and talking with the celebrities in attendance. As a reward for her hard work she was given her entire outfit.
