Ian's Wish to go to Yosemite

Seven-year-old Ian has always had a great appreciation for the outdoors, whether it’s playing outside with his siblings, riding his bike, or simply enjoying the fresh air. One of his favorite movies is “The Jungle Book”, known for its elaborate illustrations of animals and nature. Unfortunately, Ian was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor which prevented him and his family from enjoying the great outdoors together.

Ian wished to visit one of America’s beautiful national parks and was granted the trip of a lifetime to see California’s Yosemite in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Ian and his family stayed in a cozy and rustic cabin where he was able to experience firsthand the vast wilderness of the park. He saw the giant sequoias and the grand valleys. He also saw a logger steam train which he found quite exciting! Ian also had the opportunity to bike around Yosemite, a fun way to ensure that he would catch all the sites, including the amazing waterfalls. Ian and his family also got to kayak through the calm, clear waters. Ian and his siblings loved the ride and of course, enjoyed splashing their parents.

Ian and his family were so grateful that they were able to take a break and enjoy each other’s company in the great outdoors. After he was diagnosed, it was difficult for their family of five to go on trips together. It was an adventure to remember and we are so happy to have helped Ian and his family have the vacation of their dreams.
