It's been more than 30 years since my son
Chris received his wish, and I am still
amazed and inspired how one little boy's
dream to be a policeman has touched
the lives of so many thousands of people.

These kids have taught me what it truly
means to have strength and to “Never Give Up”. Wishes inspire these kids to stay strong
and never give up hope. It’s so hard to put
into words what it means to them, and to me, but I know that the power of a wish is
profound. There are so many people behind the scenes making wishes happen for these
kids. They need our help and support to
make wishes come true, so donate,
volunteer your time, just get involved.

Make-A-Wish helps restore the magic of childhood. Children and their families feel a renewed sense of hope knowing that they are not only fighting for their life, but fighting to have their most heartfelt dreams come true. The wish-granting process enhances a child's medical treatment because children and families have something tangible to look forward to. They are now motivated to comply with therapy and fight their illness. As a doctor, I feel a renewed sense of hope and purpose to help heal children.
