Biography:
Andrea is Vice President Regenerative Medicine for Baxter International in Deerfield, Ill. She is responsible for Baxter’s Cellular Therapies business focused on the development of stem cell therapies for multiple therapeutic areas. She is also focused on Baxter’s Innovation efforts, dedicated to increasing the growth rate of the corporation through the continuous launch of customer focused new products and services. These responsibilities include managing an internal corporate incubator group dedicated to the development of new growth opportunities for Baxter. Andrea is a member of Baxter’s Innovation Council and Senior Management team. Before joining Baxter in 1988, she worked for the Weight Watchers division of H.J. Heinz in business development and prior to that for Technomic Consultants. Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospital Dietetics from the University of Illinois, and a master of business administration degree from the University of Michigan. She currently serves on the University of Illinois Medical School advisory board. She was appointed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® National Board in July 2003 and currently serves as a member of the Foundation’s Chapter Performance committee. She and her husband live in Chicago, IL.
