National REO Brokers Association Supporting Wishes for 10th Consecutive Year with July Make-A-Wish® Promotion

July 13, 2011

Phoenix, AZ

PHOENIX - (July 13, 2011) – Real-estate property transactions in July mean more than new homes for grateful buyers – they will also help children’s wishes come true through the National REO Brokers Association’s 10th-annual promotion to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® .

Nearly 400 members of the NRBA, dedicated solely to the listing and selling of bank-owned properties, are participating in the charitable program. They are pledging $100 for every listing received and $5 for every broker’s price option (BPO) received during July.

Since 2002, the program has generated more than $2.5 million, enabling the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant the wishes of more than 340 children with life-threatening medical conditions.

“It’s gratifying to see how many kids we have already helped experience their fondest wishes and in turn improved their quality of life,” NRBA President Michael Krein said. “Our members enthusiastically support the Make-A-Wish Foundation through this campaign each year, and we eagerly look forward to making many more wishes come true.”

“The NRBA has not only given the Make-A-Wish Foundation significant financial support since 2002, but its members have also created invaluable awareness of our mission in their own communities,” said David Williams, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America president and chief executive officer. “We want to celebrate the NRBA’s decade of support and thank its members for strengthening communities across the country through their support of children’s wishes.”
