PHOENIX - (October 31, 2011) – The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America has named Matthew W. Schuyler, executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Hilton Worldwide, to its national board of directors.
In his role with Hilton Worldwide, Schuyler leads the human resources organization from Hilton Worldwide’s global headquarters in Northern Virginia. Prior to joining Hilton Worldwide, Schuyler served as chief human resources officer for Capital One Financial Corporation and held positions at Cisco Systems, Inc. and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
“Matthew brings a wealth of human resource experience to the board, which we will be particularly helpful to us in the coming years,” said David A. Williams, president and chief executive officer of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. “We are placing a renewed strategic focus on talent development throughout the Make-A-Wish network, and his voice will be invaluable in these discussions.”

Schuyler earned a bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. He currently lives in McLean, Va.
Schuyler will serve a three-year term on the Make-A-Wish® national board.
